Målgruppe: Seminar for professionals in the field of aesthetics, arts, pedagogical work for the preschool sector and children’s culture

With this inspirational seminar day GrowOP! Festival focuses on the importance of music and other aesthetic artforms for the linguistic, cognitive, social and physical development of the youngest children. The seminar starts with “Fogonogo” for the 0-2 ½ year olds. The newest show from Musical Rumpus by Spitalfields Music, London. Other exciting projects and pedagogical angles are presented to inspire, raise questions and create meetings between pedagogical practices and artistic experiences.. Presentations by Helena Rodrigues, artistic director, Companhia de Musica Teatral (Portugal), and psychologist and teacher at Universita Nova, Lisbon, Bea Hankey, director of Spitalfields Music London, Tanja Phaff Louring, dramaturg, actor and former lecturerer at Teachers Training College, VIA Viborg and Thomas Späth, Sangens Hus, Birgitte Holt Nielsen, Singer and Producer of Opera for young audiences at Den Jyske Opera/Danish National Opera. The seminar will be primarily in English.

11.30-12.15 Show Fogonogo (for local babies and their adults + participants)
13.00-1.30 A conversation about aesthetic experiences and pedagogical practise and training (Birgitte Holt Nielsne and Tanja Phaff Louring, including participants)
1.30-2.00 Musical and linguistic stimuli in the early years.

2.00-2.15 Reflections and new questions (Birgitte Holt Nielsen og Tanja Phaff Louring)
2.30-3.15 Musical Rumpus – creating meaningful musical encounters in underprivileged environments. (Bea Hankey og the Fogonogo-team)
3.15-3.30 Sangglad (Happy singing) - project in daycare institutions allowing more singing into everyday life. What do the children and the pedagogues gain from this (Thomas Späth).
3.30-4.00 Reflection, conclusions and future openings
International guests are warmly invited to continue the visit and attend GrowOP! Festival during the following days.
